Audrey Maben is India’s first Woman Microlight flight Instructor.
She took to the skies as a young NCC cadet when she was just 15 and instantly knew that flying was what she wanted to do for the rest of her life.
After winning a national competition as the All India Best Girl Glider pilot in 1993-94, she obtained her first glider’s pilot license.
She then went on to obtain her microlight pilot’s license and set a national record at The Air race India 2003.
In 2007, she became the country’s first woman flight instructor.
Apart from flying, she is also the founder of ICAN School - The Learning Centre in Mysore which is amongst the city’s finest schools.
